Nathalie Rigal, president of AWARE: Archives of Women Artists, Research & Exhibitions, and Camille Morineau, co-founder and director of AWARE, were at the French Ministry of Culture on March 8 to sign an agreement with the Minister of Culture, Rima ABDUL MALAK, underlining the Ministry's financial support of €450,000 over three years. This unprecedented agreement recognizes the association's mission of general interest, enabling it to perpetuate its action in favor of the recognition of women's place in museums, contemporary art and art history.
Since its creation, Sygna Partners has supported AWARE: Archives of Women Artists, Research & Exhibitions, a non-profit association under the French law of 1901 co-founded in 2014 with the aim of creating, indexing and disseminating information on women artists of the 19th and 20th centuries: "AWARE's great scientific ambition is to rewrite art history in a parity-based way.
